Dear Classmates of ’72,
As we close out the books on our 50th High School Reunion I want to say a few words. To those of you that took the time and made the plans (from far and near) to join us - Thank you.
There were 165 of us. It was a wonderful evening full of stories, laughs, smiles, hugs, dancing, and surprises. Aida and I had the best time and I hope you did too. You have my email and home addresses; please keep in touch and whenever you are in the Arlington/Wayland area let’s get together.
- To my committee : Thank you, thank you, thank you for your love, trust, support, advice and hard work, which is easy to say, however so very true, I could not have done it without you.
- To the entire class, as I have been told many times by many different people over the years, you are a very special class. And it is my pleasure to know you and call you my friends.
I delivered our donation in support of the AHS John L. Asinari Scholarship Fund to the Town Hall. Since additional checks arrived post our reunion, the final donation totaled $46,041.
What an amazing number from an amazing group of people!
John was a special person and as I told the Class of 2022 while presenting his award the other night, “John’s parents established this scholarship fund so that you might do the good work he did not have time to do himself.” I am sure they will, thanks to you.
Send me your photos and they will be posted on our website – It will be fun to scroll through and see all of the familiar faces, smiles, and classmates. They can be found on our website under Photo Gallery/ Memories.
Also I encourage you to join the Face Book page now titled: “The Amazing Arlington High School Class of 1972.” There are some plans being organized already and you will want to hear about these, as well as, plans for the future. Until next…..
Best Wishes.
Tom Gennis AHS Class President ‘72
